After receiving an outpouring of positive interest and support heading into the upcoming 2016-17 season Easter Trail, presented by Ian Boettcher Race Parts, Wingless Sprints Queensland are gearing up to commence the two-round event next weekend.

Not only has the Easter Trail attracted a solid line-up of drivers, it has also welcomed a number of sponsors on board, who will assist in making each of the events as successful as possible for both competitors and spectators, with Ian Boettcher Race Parts being confirmed as the Easter Trail’s major naming-right’s sponsor.

In a great show of support, the governing body for speedway racing throughout the state, Speedway Queensland, have signed on as the major naming-right’s sponsor of the Queensland Title, which will be run in conjunction with the opening round of the Easter Trail at Toowoomba’s Hi-Tec Oils Speedway. Owned by Wingless Sprint competitor Geoff Davey, Oztrack Earthworks has been confirmed as the major sponsor of the second Easter Trail round at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway, while BHR Fabrications will also sponsor the two Easter Trail rounds.

Coming on board as an associate sponsor, GW Racing, along with Ian Boettcher Race Parts, have generously offered hundreds of dollars’ worth of gift vouchers, to give drivers added incentive to participate in the event.

“An event like the Easter Trail simply wouldn’t be possible without the help of sponsors and we’re very appreciative for the amount of amazing support we’ve received,” Wingless Sprints Queensland President Johnno Cave enthused.

“We’ve also received an overwhelming amount of driver interest, so we’re expecting to see 50 nominations for the Queensland Title and over 30 cars competing in the final round. With the East Coast’s best drivers amongst the nominations, we’re guaranteed to see some thrilling and competitive racing.”

With nominations closing this Sunday for the opening round of the Easter Trail and the Queensland Title, drivers are encouraged to register their participation for what is sure to be a successful event.

The 2016-17 season Easter Trail, presented by Ian Boettcher Race Parts, will commence on Good Friday (April 14) at Hi-Tec Oils Speedway, along with the Queensland Title, sponsored by Speedway Queensland, concluding with the second and final round on Easter Saturday (April 15) at Brisbane’s Archerfield Speedway.
