Rookie Parker Eveleigh is thoroughly enjoying his debut Wingless Sprint season, having already shown consistent improvement after taking to the track for the first time in early October.

With five race meetings under his belt, which has seen four of them at Sydney’s Valvoline Raceway and one at Gilgandra Speedway, the 19-year-old racer from the Central Coast of NSW is relishing the experience he continues to gain as the season progresses.

“I’m really enjoying racing Wingless Sprints and I’m growing in confidence with every outing,” expressed Eveleigh, who pilots the ex-Alex Orr J&J machine, which Orr drove to victory in the 2010 NSW Title at Gilgandra Speedway.

“None of it would be possible without the amazing support we’ve received this season, in particular from Michael Butt, Simon Bestmann and the Orr family. It’s very much appreciated.”

Eveleigh credits his progress so far to the support he has received from his encouraging family, along with fellow locals, such as the Michael Butt, Simon Bestmann, good friend Brandon Ferguson and the Orr family. This has allowed him to turn up to the track and compete in a race-ready car.

The plans for the remainder of the 2016-17 season, Eveleigh is looking to build on his consistency, with the hopes of soon being able to qualify for feature races.

The next outing for Eveleigh is going to be at Valvoline Raceway on the Saturday night of December 17.

Eveleigh would like to thanks his sponsors, Michael’s Mechanical & Speedway Repairs and Dutchies Removals, for their valued 2016-17 season support. He would also like to give special thanks to his Mum (Anne), Dad (Michael), Simon Bestmann, Michael Butt, Brandon Ferguson, the Orr family, Rick Meyers (who gives up family time after work in order to help crew for Eveleigh), and his older brother, Dean, who assists with preparations between race meetings. Dean hasn’t yet been to the speedway to watch his brother and Parker is determined to get him there.
