Scott Rowe took an exciting Wingless Sprints main event win on Monday night ahead of Jason Bates and Dean Thomas.

A big field of fifty-six cars were in the pits and the action came thick and fast.

Stephen Allen took the lead early in the main event before being passed by Rowe for the lead on lap six and he never looked back. There were also some big movers in the field including visiting South Australian Brett Ireland and local stars Bates, Chris McInerney and Jason Davis who held his position at the front all race.

The only major incident of the race came in the late stages when sadly Brett Ireland got upside down in a big way and was collected by the hapless Daniel Flood, who at the time, was running third. Unfortunately for the two of them, it was race over.

This set up a battle between Rowe and Bates right to the chequered flag.

Following the top three of Rowe, Bates and Thomas was Jason Davis ahead of Chris McInerney, Adam Butler, Clint McCorquodale, Nick Tatnell who had one of his best runs in a long time and Matthew Ferguson rounded out the top ten.

Eleventh home was Darryl Marshall followed by Mark Blyton, John McRae, Jeff Neve and Leighton O’Brien was the last classified finisher.

Non finishers were Ireland, Flood, Sean Dicker, Stephen Allen, Sean Mayo, Geoff Piekar, Marshall Blyton, Blake Darcy and Peter Granger.

Earlier heat race wins went to Rowe, Ireland, Sean Dicker, Geoff Piekar, Blake Darcy and Matthew Ferguson.

The B-Mains were cancelled due to time constraints.

The next event on the NSW Wingless Sprints calendar will be Sunday, January 3 at Valvoline Raceway.

The NSW Wingless Sprints would like to thank Motoradco Radiator Services and Aussie Forklift Repairs for the great support of the 2015/2016 NSW Wingless Sprints Club Championship.
