Jason Bates continued his winning ways in the Aussie Forklift Repairs NSW Club Championship for Wingless Sprints last night at the Gilgandra Speedway. In what was at times a brutal night of racing, all drivers stood tall and turned on some great racing.

The racing in the main event was great and kept the great Gilgandra crowd entertained and it was Jason Bates who once again showed why he is NSW number one. A special mention must be made for second placed Jamison Blyton.

The youngest Blyton throttle stomper has only completed around ten meetings and did a sterling job to come home second. He had to work for it, too, considering during the race he fell back to third and had to fight hard to come home in second place.

Third to the finish line was Jason Davis. Despite a crash a number of weeks ago at Parramatta, Davis has had a consistent start to the season and he will no doubt be hoping it continues into the busy part of the season.

Following the top three home was Luke Sayre, Chris McInerney, Kris Johnson, Sean Dicker, Ashleigh Jack, Nikki Briton and Graham Flood came home in tenth. Sam Louttit, Lou Pacchiarotta, Chad Larkings, Daniel Flood, Andrew Seery, Dan Welke and Jeff Neve rounded out the finishers. Non finishers were Jason Martin, Troy Carey and Mark Blyton.

Heat race wins went to Mark Blyton, Jason Bates, Graham Flood, Luke Sayre, Daniel Flood and Ashleigh Jack.

The B-Main went to Sam Louttit ahead of Kris Johnson, Andrew Seery and Troy Carey.

The major incident on the night occurred in heat six when Nathan Dicker rode a wheel and went on a frightening flip down the main straight. Crews rushed to the car and Dicker emerged from the car thankfully unaided and unhurt.

A notable mention must go to the young up and coming drivers including Jamison Blyton, Parker Eveleigh, Kyle Mock and Zac Pacchiarotta for making the trip and gaining more and more experience.

The NSW Wingless Sprints would like to take the opportunity to thank each of the thirty-four competitor and their crews for making the trip to Gilgandra.

A special thanks to all of the track staff and volunteers on the night at Gilgandra.

To the drivers for their professionalism in difficult track conditions.

To Justin Bramble for his help and for all his efforts with the timing system.

And finally, our series sponsor Aussie Forklift Repairs. Thank you for your wonderful support.
