Driver nominations have now opened for the 2017 Australian Wingless Sprint Championship presented by Powranna Plant Hire, to be held at Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway in Tasmania on February 23-25, 2017.
The event, which offers a total prize pool of $23,250, will be contested over three nights, with the practice and Calcutta on Thursday, February 23 being followed by two huge nights of racing which will determine the Australian Wingless Sprint Champion for the 2016-17 season.
“Over 20 mainland drivers have already expressed their interest in competing in the Australian Championship which is fantastic,” commented Australian Wingless Sprint Racing President Mick Parry.
“We’re expecting a very strong field of around 40-50 cars in total from all around the country which will make for some very exciting and competitive racing.
“We encourage all drivers and teams to register their nominations and arrange their travel plans as soon as possible.”
Drivers can register their nomination by clicking on the following link www.registernow.com.au/secure/Register.aspx?E=23757 or by visiting www.registernow.com.au and searching events under AWSR.
