Nominations for the 2019 AWSR Australian Wingless Sprints Championship™ are now officially open. The event to be held from February 21 – 23, 2019, at Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway will commence with scrutineering, practice and a Calcutta on the Thursday followed by two nights of racing on the Friday and Saturday.
This year’s event boasts an exciting new format that enables up to eight drivers to lock themselves into the Championship A-Feature after Night One, bypassing a third round of heats. The format also provides ample opportunity for those drivers who experience issues along the way to race their way through to the Championship A-Feature on the Saturday night.
Nominations are accepted through the AWSR website www.awsr.com.au, with nominations closing on January 25th, 2019. There will be no late nominations accepted. The event information guide is available on the AWSR website under “Rulebooks and Forms” or can be viewed at the time of nominating.
